We have noticed that there are some local roadside signs that are now rather out of date, for example:-
There is a sign advising that there is a new road layout ahead near Ewell West Station. The road layout has not changed for quite some time.
There is a yellow sign on the Chessington Road approach to the roundabout near the Horton Golf Club advising of potential delays due to culvert works in Moor Lane. This work was completed ages ago.
If anyone has any further examples, please post the details here, or e-mail one of the WERRA committee or Councillors, so we can contact the Highways Department to get them removed and keep roadside signs to those that are current.

| Perhaps those huge signs advising that there is no access to Amis Avenue from Gatley Avenue and vice versa could be removed now? The junction has unfortunately been closed for a long time, and it only serves as an annoying reminder of how things used to be for us locals, while we are sitting in the long queues, spewing out our fumes, waiting for the lights to finally change in our favour, so we can move a few feet further along the road towards home. But at least the air quality, road safety and noise levels in Derek Avenue, Amis Avenue (should it be renamed Amis Close?) and some of Gatley Avenue will have improved. Perhaps the residents of those roads smile or laugh each time they see them instead......! |
